About Deborah Knuckey

Deborah Knuckey is a freelance writer and the author of two books. She draws on
her broad life experience to write on a variety of topics from personal finance to
adventure travel to the challenges of finding love in a big city. She has also written
for the corporate world, including corporate websites, economic development
materials and business proposals.

She first wrote as a financial and political journalist at a daily newspaper, and
returned to writing a decade later. In between, she worked in the corporate world, as
a management consultant at McKinsey & Co. and marketing consultant at Ketchum.
She has a passion for travel and has traveled to more than 45 countries. She was
born in Australia and has lived in the US for more than a decade.

Her books have been featured on Oprah, First Business, Good Day New York,
Bloomberg TV, PBS’s Moneywise, and in USA Today, Investment Adviser, Woman’s
World, Investor’s Business Daily, Working Mother, Working Woman, First for Women,
Canada's Investment Executive, Australia’s Business Review Weekly, and many
other print and broadcast media. Her first book has been translated into Japanese
and both simplified and complex Chinese characters, and her second book has been
translated into Spanish for the Central American market.

Deborah has been the front of camera spokesperson for several national media
campaigns for financial institutions.

Deborah has an MBA from The Anderson School at UCLA, Graduate Diploma in
Securities and Banking, and Bachelors in Economics from Australia’s Monash
University. She was a Rotary International Foundation Scholar, a Sandy Sigoloff
Scholar, and was awarded the IBM Prize in Marketing.
