My early career as a reporter at national daily The Australian and as a weekend stringer for The Sunday Herald was pre-internet. Physical clippings still lurk in my basement. Here are some more recent work samples.

Code of Ethics
I take journalistic ethics very seriously and do not write about energy storage chemistries as I cofounded a battery company with my spouse and am a board observer and help out its marketing. Additionally, I worked for two years at a marketing firm that focused on renewable energy clients and I do not cover any company that has been a client in the last two years.
I am religious about difference between objective journalism, subjective opinion, and commercial writing, and while I have done all three, I strongly believe in keeping the boundaries very clear. I have been a member of the American Society of Journalists and Authors (ASJA), the International Federation of Journalists (IFT), and the Australian Journalists Association (AJA), an Australian trade union for journalists, prior to it joining other unions to create the Media, Entertainment and Arts Alliance. |
